Spend your summer holidays in a special way. For our nice little festival in the beautiful Swiss countryside of Emmental (between Berne and Thun) we are looking for hands-on, cheerful volunteers who want to help for a couple hours a day between 13 and 21 July 2026. You can also volunteer for a shorter period.
We love spontaneity! At the same time, planning is much easier for us if we can do it ahead of time, so please register early. Last year we had enough volunteers by the beginning of June, that was fantastic!
Insurance is the responsibility of the participants.
What you get for your voluntary work
Our festival is not profit seeking, that is why we are happy about every helping hand. We appreciate your commitment as a volunteer very much. In return we offer you free entry and free meals in the canteen during your volunteering days. Additionally you can stay during the whole festival in the protection shelter site for a reduced price.
Changes in 2026 compared to previous years
Last year we made an experiment with food vouchers. This was one of the reasons why we had very long queues at the food counter. This year you’ll be able to redeem the vouchers directly where you get your meal, without ordering it first. On the flipside, the vouchers won’t have a money value any more. (This information is preliminary, we’re still discussing the exact system.)

As a volunteer for setting up and dismantling the festival facilities honour and fame will be yours and you will become a „super hero“ with no obligations during the festival days.
Setting up: Monday thru Wednesday, July 13-15
Dismantling: Montay and Tuesday till noon, July 20-21
Volunteering during the entire setup (3 days)
- is valued the same as volunteering for 4 days during the festival
- plus free meals and accomodation during the days before the festival
Volunteering during setup for 2 days or the entire teardown (1.5 days)
- is valued the same as volunteering for 3 days during the festival
- plus free meals and accomodation during the days before/after the festival
Volunteering during setup or teardown for 1 full day
- is valued the same as volunteering for 2 days during the festival
- plus free meals and accomodation during the days before/after the festival
Your help is especially appreciated for the construction of the big tents on Tuesday afternoon till late.
The dismantling on Monday starts in the morning and takes until 9 pm. When we finish there will be a nice supper for everybody 😋
Note for ticket purchase: If you volunteer for one or two days, you can already buy tickets for the other days when you do not volunteer. Our volunteer managers Camille and Raffael will tell you everything you need to know.
Choose your volunteering work
Your working time depends on your volunteering activity (max. 4 hours a day during 2 to 4 shifts). We will coordinate the shifts with you beforehand, so that you can plan ahead the rest of your festival stay.
Are you tempted to spend a whole week at the festival and to dance 4 days without any working shifts? Are you looking forward to the magical moment when out of nowhere a tent village develops on the meadow? Then we welcome you as a „Vertanzt Super Hero“ who will set up and/or dismantle our festival facility!
Is catering and food your passion? Do you like efficient team work and also enjoy chatting when rush-hour is over? Would you like to be there when our cooks „rock“ the kitchen? Then our canteen is the right place to be!
Would you like to be the good cleaning fairy? You like to work at off-peak and short working hours, which gives you plenty of time to dance? Would you like to witness how many mindful people cause relatively little waste and dirt? Then you’ve come to the right place with the cleaning team!
Are friendliness and communication in your blood? Do you like to sit in the sun – but even a little rain doesn’t spoil your mood? Would you like to meet the many different people and laughing faces of the festival? Then the entry control is the right position for you!
Are you a multi-tasking talent that can answer even the most surprising questions confidently and preferably multilingually? Do you dare to handle the cash register? Would you like to gain a deep insight into the organisation of our festival? Then working at the festival office is just the perfect position for you.
Do you want to be our joker? Are you flexible and autonomous and ready for various smaller and bigger tasks (wiping the tent floor, caring for flower decorations, selling T-shirts, admonishing people who park the wrong way…)? Then we are happy to count on you!
We’ll do our best to plan ahead, and still you might get your assignment on very short notice, so we appreciate you checking your phone regularly.
Do you like music and technology? As stagehand you are the supporting person in the workshop who turns the music from CD/mobile on and off at the right time. You will be very precious for our dance teachers.
