Volunteer at our dancing festival in the Emmental!
Our small festival in the beautiful countryside of Emmental (between Berne and Thun) looks for volunteers. We guarantee lots of fun with people (musicians, dancers, ca. 800 visitors from all over Switzerland, Italy, Germany, France) in return for 4-5 hours per day helping us with the organization of the festival.

Remunerations for your voluntary work
We would like to show appreciation for your voluntary work and reward you with some goodies that lie within the possibilities of our non-profit festival.

Spend an entire week with us: Help us with the building up and tearing down of our infrastructure and enjoy the festival days without a volunteering schedule.
Volunteering Thuesday afternoon till Wednesday (mounting):
- 2 day-passes for you
- food (partially in restaurants) during the days of mounting
- free accomodation (during the days of mounting)
Volunteering Monday and Tuesday morning (dismounting):
- 2 day-passes for you
- food (partially in restaurants) during the days of dismounting
- free accomodation (during the days of dismounting)
- 2 additional day-passes to give to your friends
Note:
- We especially look for people to help us with dismounting, that is why we remunerate with two additional day-passes.
- If you do want to help in the mounting or dismounting but are not able to do the full shift, we do appreciate! Yet, mounting and dismounting volunteers ideally should be present at time of tent mounting Tuesday evening resp. dismounting Monday night. Volunteers coming Wednesday morning (start 8:30) we remunerate with 1 day-pass.
Choose your volunteering work
The amount of hours can vary between the different work places. It is a maximum 5 hours a day, devided into 2 to 4 shifts. We communicate the shifts with you beforehand so that you can plan the rest of your stay at the festival. Contact us telling what type of work you would like to do and we discuss the rest!
Are you tempted to spend a whole week at the festival and to dance for 4 days without any working shifts? Are you physically fit and would you like to help in setting up and dismantling the festival? Are you looking forward to the magical moment when out of nowhere a tent village develops on the meadow? Then we welcome you as a „Vertanzt Super Hero“!
Is catering and food your passion? Would you like to work efficiently and in a team, and also enjoy the chats when rush-hour is over? Would you like to be there when our cooks „rock“ the kitchen? Then the social place of our canteen is your right place to be!
Would you like to be the good cleaning fairy? Would you like to self-administer your relatively short working hours, which gives you plenty of time to dance? Would you like to witness how many mindful people cause relatively little waste and dirt? Then you’ve come to the right place with the cleaning team!
Are friendliness and communication in your blood? Do you like to sit in the sun – but even a little rain doesn’t spoil your mood? Would you like to meet the many different people and laughing faces of the festival? Then the entrance is the right work place for you!
Are you a multi-tasking talent that can answer even the most surprising questions confidently and preferably multilingually? Do you dare to handle the cash register? Would you like to gain a deep insight into the organisation of our festival? Then the festival office is perfect for you. (Note: Helpers from previous years are preferred for the festival office)
Are you flexible and handy that we can send you for smaller and larger tasks (wiping the tent floor, fixing something broken, caring for flower decorations, selling T-shirts, admonishing people who park the wrong way…) and do you appreciate its variety? Then we are happy to count on you!
Do you like music and technology? As a stagehand, the supporting person during workshops who turns the music from CD/mobile on and off, you are important for our dance teachers.
